The NPS® iStyle+ columns were born from the collaboration between Tecnostrutture, RNDR Studio and THEY simply design. An evolution of the NPS® Style+ column in centrifuged reinforced concrete, they integrate lighting and home automation in an elegant and functional solution.

Collaborazione vincente

The idea for the project came from studying the NPS® systems, with the intention of rethinking the building as a complex system in which the various structural components can dialogue with each other.

What inspired us was the possibility of employing the cavities already present in the structural elements, resulting from the column production process, as intelligent channels for the integration of an advanced home automation system.

This is how, by combining technical know-how, architectural vision and spirit of innovation, we jointly developed the concept and then the prototype of iStyle+: a system that transforms the structural system into a communicating and interactive network, ready to accommodate the technologies of the building of the future.
