BH4 Hotel, Milan
This 94 metre tower hosts Boscolo group's BH4 hotel in Via Stephenson. It is a 4 star plus, 20-floor hotel with about 300 rooms, plus meeting rooms, restaurant and fitness areas, with three underground levels for service and support facilities as well as car parks.
The project entailed up to 4 levels of heavy loads for the columns to support. Another critical point arose in the passage of slab reinforcement at the time of installation through pillars.
The use of multi-storey PDTI® pillars with windows at the joint allowed for the passage of reinforcement towards the connection. The resistance capacity of the columns also allowed sections to be contained with the advantage of utilising interior spaces better.
