Trieste Logistics Platform, Italy
It covers an area of 120 ,000 m2 largely initially occupied by the sea. It includes new rail and road links as well as mooring s fo rroro ships. The base that makes up the platform rests on NPS® beams supported on pylons immersed in the sea. It consists of over 70 0 NPS® CLS beams. They are 10 meters long, 180 cm wide, with 30 cm high reinforced concrete base. Seismic resistance is obtained by isolating the platform with seismic devices inserted between pylons and beams. NPS® has granted mariner quality protection, sismic resistance and integrated fire resistance for long spans.
