Top down NPS® selected to make some high speed works of the Bologna Node.
Designer and contractor chose Top down NPS® as the solution fully complies with the project requirements. NPS® has assured:
- high resistance to axial forces in the absence of significant viscous phenomena;
- construction and assembly outside of installation to allow greater execution speed, and simplification of operations to be carried out at a narrow site;
- self-supporting in the first and second phases;
- ability to support considerable carriageway loads expected on the roof;
- high fire-resistance (R120) of the definitive structure.
