Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Lodi - Kengo Kuma

Designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the new Veterinary University campus in Lodi is home to approximately 2,200 students, as well as 300/400 teaching staff, laboratory technicians, doctoral students, technical/administrative staff and service personnel.

25,000 square metres of decks divided between two buildings deliberately designed with different functions. Consequently, the structural design of the two lots also followed separate paths. In both, beams and columns have a mixed NPS® steel-concrete structure. The type of floor, however, changes: honeycomb in building 1, precast in lot 2.
