Arch bridge on the Piave Vecchia river along the variant of S.S. 14, made using Cor-Ten steel.

The request was to install beams side by side in an arch to meet the architectural requirements of the project.

The proposition was to use mixed steel-concrete truss girders made in Cor-Ten steel, for the high mechanical and corrosion resistance, achieving appreciable reductions in thickness and reducing periodic maintenance operations. The use of mixed steel-concrete truss girders permitted to reduce the temporary works otherwise necessary in the event of a reinforced concrete construction solution.
